Urgent Prescriptions

We’ve noticed that a few patients are frequently running low on their medication, and we want to ensure that our practice operates as smoothly as possible. To help us maintain the quality of care for all patients, we kindly ask everyone to be mindful of ‘urgent’ medication requests.

Our reception staff may need to ask additional questions when processing these requests, but please understand that this is to ensure your healthcare needs are met appropriately. In some cases, the GP may need to review the request before approval. A record is kept of such requests, and may well be refused by the GP.

Pharmacy / in writing

We offer two convenient options for ordering your repeat prescriptions: through a pharmacy or in writing.

Pharmacy:
You can choose to order your repeat prescriptions through a pharmacy of your choice. Simply visit or contact your preferred pharmacy, and they will assist you in placing your order. They will then liaise with us to ensure a seamless prescription fulfillment process.

In Writing:
If you prefer, you can order your repeat prescriptions in writing. Please write down your prescription request, including your full name, date of birth, the names of the medications, and the dosage instructions. You can drop off the written request at our reception desk or send it to us via post.

Questions about your prescription

If you have questions about your medication, your local pharmacists can answer your questions on prescription and over-the-counter medicines.

If your medicine is out of date, unwanted, or some of it is left over after you have stopped taking it, do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet. Instead, take it to your pharmacy to be disposed of safely
