In the Winter Months there is a higher demand for on the day appointments and appointments booked the day before so, please only book an appointment if you really need to see a Doctor. Same Day Urgent/Emergency Appointments are available Monday to Friday. To access these, patients should telephone or report to reception before 10am that morning. You will be given an appointment time for that day (The earliest appointments are pre-bookable, 4 weeks in advance, for people who need to go to work). When booking an appointment, please state if you have a preference to see a particular doctor or nurse. When booking a follow up appointment, it is advisable to book with the same person who saw you for that problem before. To avoid wasting a valuable appointment it is your responsibility to let us know in plenty of time if you are unable to attend. Pre Bookable Appointments may be booked up to four weeks in advance with Doctors, Nurses and Health Care Assistant. We offer a mixture of same-day and pre-bookable appointments for all our doctors. Our nurse and health-care assistant slots are generally booked in advance. Please try to call in the afternoons as mornings can get very busy with urgent phone calls. Missed Appointments If your miss your appointments we will take you off our practice list, this is due the high number of appointments wasted by patients not coming in or cancelling late. This creates a shortage of appointments. Telephone Messages For Doctors And Nurses Should you prefer to leave a message for one of our clinicians rather than book an appointment, our reception staff are happy to take messages by phone or in person. If necessary, the clinician will call you back. Chaperones can be provided on request to accompany you during examinations.Home Visits are only for patients who are housebound and unable to attend the surgery.
